Quarteira

Summer is drawing near and, as happens in other places in Portugal, such as Lisbon, the streets of Quarteira will be filled with colour, music, dancing and good cheer during the month of June as we celebrate the Popular Saints. On the 12th we’ll be paying tribute to St. Anthony, on the 23rd the festivities will be in honour of St. John and on the 28th we’ll be celebrating St. Peter.

Quarteira is a Portuguese city and a parish, located in the municipality of Loulé. It has a population of 16,131 inhabitants and a total area of 37.78 km². Quarteira is a city since May 13 of 1999.
